Yesterday's meeting went pretty well. The artist's name is Will Toro. While he is not a proefessional, he did do a little comic work back in Puerto Rico. Will made some new concept sketches while we worked out the details of some of the characters. Things are looking pretty good.
This is the farthest I've gotten with any of the artist with whom i've attempted to work.
Yes, that is correct. I never even got to the concept art stage with those guys.
The plan, as far as the writing goes, is to script five pages a day. I'll send them over to Will once we've got all the details worked out with the aesthetics of the characters, and he'll start doing the page work as he has time. I originally had a complete
film script written for this story, but that was destroyed during my move back to the Cleveland area from Brooklyn, New York. I have changed several things from the original story, but it's not like I've got to make this one up from scratch. It shouldn't be much of a strain.
The final story could be anywhere between 150 and 200 pages. We will probably need to find a colourist once we have a few dozens pages inked, as Will's experience with photoshop is limited.
Here are some of the sketches Will flew through as we talked at Caribou in Rocky River:

Will will be sending me a finished, inked bust of Victor, the character in the headshots. I'll upload that when i get it.
Now, I have to get writing.
Later.
